How do I deal with lupus with out taking drugs? I have had lupus for three years, but I just started get treatment from a lupus specialist at Magee womens hospital. I take a small dose blood pressure medication. But my doctor wants me to take plaqunil and prednesone. But those drugs have so many side affects and I hear so many bad things about how they help one thing but then something else breaks down, Then you are on this cycle of adding on medicine after medicine. I want to live, but I don't want to lose my eyesight, have liver problems, or other complication caused by these medicines. How do I find out how my auntie died? She changed her name and she was mistreated in a mental hospital? Ok, so my auntie dies 2 years ago. She stayed in a mental hospital which made her change her name, and she was regulary prescribed drugs to deliberatly give her halutiations and flashbacks. Before she went into the hospital, she was fine, and not mental at all. She found a lump in her breast, which the hospital told her was cancer. She was then prescibed the wrong drugs by a GP that wasn't actually a doctor. Since she was told it was cancer, the hospital gave her the wrong drugs on purpose which eventually made her mental, so she landed in a womens mental hospital. I had never met her, and she was only 40 when she died. My family are devistated, and have sued the hospitals for giving her the wrong drugs. OK im pregnant and i have Lupus? Ok i am 13 weeks and 5 days pregnant with my first child. I was diagnosed with Lupus when i was 10 years old. I have to go to the Lupus center at Magee Womens Hospital because i am pregnant. I want to know what to exspect at the appoinment. What will they do? Hospital is offering me a settlement, Should I take it? I had an Iud put in in January. I went in for my six week check up and they couldnt find it with the cervical exam so they did an ultra sound and still couldnt find it. I told my doctor at that time that I was having sharp pinching cramps. They told me that it had probably fallen out and there was nothing to worry about. Three months later, I am at my chiropractors getting a set of x-rays done, and she asks me why I am taking a birth control pill if I have an IUD. So sure enough, the IUD was still in me. I took the x rays to my doctor who ordered another ultra sound and they still didnt see anything. So I was referred to a ob/gyn, which I thought my doctor was, but I was mistaken, she is just a Womens Healthcare Doctor. The Specialist did a Laparoscopy and removed the IUD. I was going to have another put in, stupid, I know, but so convenient, but when she was measuring, she perforated my uterus. So, she wasnt sure if maybe it wasnt healed yet, four months, it should have been, or what. I had the Original, and only, IUD put in three months after having my daughter naturally. The hospital called and informed me that they were going to pay for the surgery completely. Now they are offering me a settlement check. I wont find out how much it is for until I go meet with them on Tuesday. Should I accept it? If so, what is reasonable? Or should I sue? Obviously something is not right, since they are making amends, but I like they doctor who put the IUD in and dont want to cause trouble. The only thing I can see that they did wrong was not do an xray to be sure that the IUD was surely gone. But I did suffer for four months, it ended up being wrapped in my intestines, so every time I would move it would shift and poke me. Metal strings poking your insides are not fun!

My nephew was diagnosed with TB and treated now he has a new baby who was diagnosed with whooping cough. He ha has not told the doctors that he tested positive as he is embarrassed. Is there any link and any possiblity that the TB has anything to do with the baby's respiratory illness. She is very sick and in ICU at a local womens and childrens hospital.

Is this infringing on my womens rights when it comes to delivery? I am 30 weeks pregnant and I have a question about delivering. I had a c- section in ND 8 years ago, and I went VBAC (vaginal birth after cecearen) 5 years ago also in North Dakota. I moved to Redding Ca and just found out that its their hospitials policy to OLNY do c-sections for women who have had them befor, so I cant even try for a vbac even know I had a sucsessful one befor and Im a great canidate for another one . so my question is this. Can I just refuse a c-setion? I cant ask my doctor because he might drop me as a patient if he think I will refuse. He does know I really dont want a c-section and his advise Is that I drive to Saramento to have my baby. (three hours away)!!!!! I dont want to have the baby on the highway on the way there! Womens Clothing At 14?!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!? Hi. I am 14 years old and I am going into the 10th grade at the beginning of this school year. My dad has been choosing out my clothes for me, mostly because my mom works in a hospital. So I dress really bad. But this year he started a business and its up to me. But I am 5' 8.5", 155 pounds, and my measurements are 36-26-37. I am black, so as the stereyotype goes, I carry alot of package in the backside. I run and dance like a maniac so my legs are really nice, but the top parts of my thighs rub together. I dont even know my size...the womens pants are a size 8 and they are fitting only in the butt, but not in the hips and waist at all. Can you please help me with some options. I am trying to lose 10-15 pounds (mostly to care for the thighs, do you have any ideas on how to do that also?) What is the best doctor/hospital combo to have my wife associated with in orlando she is pregnant? I took my wife to the Osceola Womens Clinic in Kissimmee yesterday and I hated it. I was uncomfortable from the point we got in the parking lot and it only got worse. I want her, in the best hospital for having babies in Orlando, and I want the best doctor or one of the best nicest doctors with a nice office. A place thats good about everything. Whats my chances of concieving while i have PCOD?? Hi my husband and i have been trying to concieve now for the past 5 years. and nothing, I have been to see specialists who told me my insuline level was way to high and put me on a no carb diet. ( some specialist right) along with glucophage, to lower my insulin as well my sugar levels dropped alot during the times i was on the combination of diet and pill. I was told my period would come and i should be able to get pregnant if i dropped some wieght., In one month i dropped 35lbs from the combidnation, of pills and diet, and working 60 hours a week. in personal care. Bleeding in pregnancy? I had been bleeding for around a week, doctors just told me to rest, after several days I began to panic and took myself to the womens hospital in Coventry. They examined me and I went for an ultrasound scan, which showed a beauitful 8wk embryo with, they said "a strong heart beat". They gave me the scan picture and I left to go home so happy knowing my little buddle of happiness was ok. 8hrs later I had to rush back to the hospital because events took a turn for the worse. 5hrs after that I had a miscarriage. How can something go so wrong within hours of having my mind put at ease?

My mom is having an irregular period what should she do? However i found out i was pregnant about the same time and now they are saying that it is pre-existing and will not cover me. However i had already gone to my first appointment about two weeks ago. Womens Health Question? My husband & myself have been ttc for 6 months. I have been having problems with irregular periods so I went to see a Gynaecologist & got told that I have to have an operation to remove quite a few cysts & scaring on one side. I am currently on day 70 without a period but he has started me on something called Duphaston to kick start my periods so they can do a complete hormone blood profile before my operation. When I was having my internal ultrasound he circled something in my uterus but never said anything. Looking back I know I should of questioned him but you have all sorts going through your head! I have been on these tables for 3 days now & yesterday I had a little pinkish discharge but now all I have is a lot of pain without a period. I am wondering what that round thing was in my uterus & why my periods have still not started. I have tried phoning my consultant but he is at another hospital today. Thanks :)

My daughter is 25 and has had to deal with pollups on her ovaries since she was about 15. occasionally these pollups would burst, which was extremely painful, doc put her on birth control pills to eliminate the pollups from forming. she is now 25, and has a 1 yr old . pre natal classes continued? I have just got back from working overseas (I got back at 22 weeks I am now 29 weeks pregnant) Now Australia is suppose to have a great health care system especially for young mothers... First problem... I have called every obstetrician in the city and no-one can see me or book me in, all of them said they are booked out, and at this time in the pregnancy I should have had one already (well I did, but overseas) ... I managed to find one but he couldn't see me for 2 months that making me well into my 3rd trimester... So I went to two of the womens hospitals in Sydney, explained my situation, (Randwick and Westmead) both said I should be seeing an obstetrician now and should have already started the pre natal classes.. I told them there were none, even the hospitals obs were booked out.. They also told me that it would be impossible for me to start their pre natal classes as I would have had to have booked in months ago, and they are all booked out...
