Does America have the ability to go to a cheap universal health program?

Canada and France have amazing health programs, and many times people blame it on the way that they have universal health coverage. With the politicians being in the pockets of the big drug corperations, do we have the ability to have a universal health plan that wont put half of America into poverty? Okay so far we have 1 person using this question to complain about the war, 1 person using this question to complain about illegal immigrants, 1 person calling me an idiot, and 1 person actually answering the question. 1. Yes, if it can overcome its addiction to war.
2. I do not believe so. Any universal health programs will be taxed upon its citizens. Meanwhile those citizens will also be paying for ILLEGALS, unless our Politicians get their acts together and do what is actually right for OUR COUNTRY.
3. You had better do your research a lot better. Canada and Frances health care is poor and getting worse. Like all government run programs they are going broke because they manipulated the proposed cost to seem much lower than it really is and now they must cut services. Some are waiting 6 months to over a year for medical help they need. The quality of service also goes down as prices and payments are manipulated.
4. The ability? Yes. But some of us do not have the want to go to a socialized health-care system.

WHAT IS CONSIDERED AN AMAZING HEALTH PROGRAM? canadians are continually coming into the us to get health care. england's hospitals are turning into garbage dumps doctors only have to see minimaul amount of patients medical tests take longer and longer to get. america has a universal health care system that doesn't work check out the nearest VA med center for veterans and you will get a great look at health care also watch congress when the VA budget comes up for review every year and see how they argue and argue and fight over funding and wasted funding for the VA that should give you an idea how universal health care would work in america. mr doodles
